Secret Life, Secret Death

The Forest County Historical and Genealogical Society and Crandon Public Library are co-sponsoring the presentation of the film “Secret Life, Secret Death”, a docudrama mystery, on October 7th at 7:00 pm at the Crandon Public Library. The film portrays the Roaring 20’s. Minnie, a young, single mother makes some hard choices that lead her to the Chicago underworld of crooks and bootleggers. There she lives high off the hog or scrapes the bottom of the barrel, in this true story of romance, lust and tragedy, among gangsters including Al Capone and John Dillinger. This film includes scenes from Northern Wisconsin and has close ties to Forest County’s bootlegging history.
